Our learning environments are designed to meet the needs of both children and families through specific goals and objectives. We focus on building off of the strengths of each child, taking advantage of every teachable moment.
Tiny Lambs
This is where you will find our youngest children. This room is specifically for children aged up to 15 months. It is tailored to suit the individual routines and needs of young children.
The Tiny Lambs room is run and led by our parents and carers to ensure all individual routines from home are mirrored in the nursery, whilst staff support children's weaning process.
Children’s bottles and meals are provided at the times to suit their individual routines.
The Tiny Lamb children sleep in cots and beds, each child has their own bedding bag which is provided by nursery and cleaned onsite. All staff are safer sleep trained and children have a separate sleep room to ensure their sleep is not disrupted. We can have up to 11 babies at one time in the Tiny Lambs room.
Little Lambs
The Little Lambs Room is specially designed for children aged 15 months to 2 years and offers a spacious, stage-appropriate environment that supports children at a key stage in their development. The room is thoughtfully divided into non-mobile and mobile areas, allowing each child to explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. With features such as a designated sleeping area and a food preparation zone, the space ensures both comfort and practicality for daily routines.
Catering for up to 12 children at a time, Little Lambs provides a safe and nurturing space for early walkers to gain confidence and independence. Our experienced team works closely with parents to support each child’s progress, ensuring a smooth transition through this important stage. Just like in our other playrooms, parents are invited to attend regular parent evenings throughout the year to stay informed and involved in their child’s development.
Bumble Bees
Our Bumble Bees Room is designed for children aged 2 to 2.5 years and provides a nurturing space where toddlers can continue their learning and development journey. This room supports key milestones such as the early stages of toilet training, with our caring staff on hand to offer gentle guidance and encouragement every step of the way.
With space for up to 14 children, the Bumble Bees Room offers a warm, supportive environment where little ones can build confidence, develop independence, and explore new skills through play. As with all our rooms, the focus is on creating a safe and stimulating setting that meets each child’s individual needs during this important stage.
Busy Bees
Our Busy Bees Room is home to our 2.5 to 3-year-old children and is designed to support their growing independence and curiosity. With space for up to 20 children, this room offers a vibrant and engaging environment filled with age-appropriate toys and equipment that make learning fun and interactive. The room also features direct access to a stimulating outdoor area, giving children plenty of opportunities for exploration, physical activity, and outdoor learning.
To support key developmental milestones, the Busy Bees Room includes a dedicated children’s bathroom, helping to make toilet training a more comfortable and manageable experience for both children and parents. We also use the WELCOMM tool to monitor and enhance children’s communication and language skills, and our team works closely with speech therapists and other professionals when needed, ensuring every child receives the support they need to thrive.
Wise Owls
We can have 35 children at one time in our pre school room. This is where you will find our oldest children at Ashworth View. Children are becoming more independent and learning all the lifelong skills they need to support them when they transition to ‘big school.’
At Ashworth View Nursery, we believe outdoor learning is just as important as what happens indoors — and our spectacular outdoor spaces reflect that. Each age group has access to carefully designed outdoor areas that encourage exploration, creativity, and physical development in a safe and stimulating environment.
Outdoors
Our outdoor areas include a large sandpit, a climbing wall with slides, dedicated digging and planting zones, and a mud kitchen where children can experiment with fresh herbs and spices that we grow together. These spaces are enhanced daily with additional activities that reflect the themes and learning happening indoors, helping to create a rich, well-rounded learning experience.
Children enjoy free-flow access to the outdoors throughout the day, giving them the freedom to choose how they play and learn. Whether it’s riding bikes, building in the mud kitchen, or caring for plants in the garden, there’s always something to spark their imagination.
