Our Partnership With Parents
We encourage every family to be actively involved in your child's nursery journey and hold an ‘All about me Meeting’ prior to a child starting so that we are able to ensure that we have a holistic view of the child and family before they start with us.
We encourage parents to collaborate with us and parents have access to our parent app where practitioners update daily with their eating, toileting and daily needs which parents can access at the touch of a button. The app also gives parents the opportunity to comment and add in their own observations and pictures from home. Practitioners also send out home tasks throughout the year to encourage parents to get involved in activities and celebrations we may be looking at during the day.
We hold a parent's evenings termly to ensure that parents are aware of where their child is achieving and how we are supporting their individual learning through differentiated play activities. Here we can also talk about how to close any gaps and what support parents can offer to mirror what is happening at nursery. We offer a variety of stay and play sessions throughout the year so the parents can gain a deeper understanding of life at nursery.
Keeping Your Little Ones Safe
At Ashworth View, we take safety and security very seriously.
All staff are DBS checked and are on the regular update service.
We have cameras fitted throughout the nursery that ensure both staff and children’s safety. Our Nursery Manager can readily check the CCTV footage if an issue was to arise.
Entry to Ashworth View is via a secure front door which is answered by a member of staff, via an intercom system.
What Our Parents Say
Our son has been attending Ashworth View Nursery since last Easter and it has been the best decision we made for him. My son has developed and learnt so much since he started. The staff are amazing. Their friendly, caring approach, makes it comfortable for him to come in and enjoy himself.
The manager is very supportive and quick to help with any issues. She always has a smile on her face and makes you feel welcome.
Our daughter will be starting soon. We are so excited about her journey at Ashworth view too!
Thank you to the amazing staff.
My son has been attending Ashworth View since he was 9 months old and he’s loved every second! He’s made some lovely friendships with other children and incredible bonds with the staff. It’s made such a difference to my little boy’s development; it’s amazing hearing and seeing all the new things he’s learnt while he’s there.
Ashworth View is a fantastic nursery, my child has been there for 5 months. He has been in two different rooms so far and the transitions and settling-in sessions they organise are well timed so children are settled and happy in their rooms ready to play and learn. All activities are tailored towards the children’s progression as a group and individually, which meets the EYFS. The progression my child has made since he started has been amazing; his crawling, speech, walking and understanding of basic commands have really improved and this is all down to the staff. You get daily updates on the app of activities with descriptions linking towards the EYFS. When I pick him up he’s a happy boy, this helps my mum’s guilt disappear as I know he’s done lots of activities, surrounded by staff that care for him. He has a few medical needs which require staff to go that extra mile, they always communicate with me if needed about this and reassure me that he is getting the care he needs!
Our daughter started her Ashworth View journey aged 9 months and is now nearly 4 years old in the pre-school room. She is always excited to share what she has learnt at nursery and brings home anything she has made with such pride. She loves all the practitioners who are both looking after her now but also those who have looked after her over the years and who are still in other rooms at the nursery. She also has many friends and loves to play with them outside as the nursery has a fabulous outdoor area. It’s reassuring to know she is in such a happy, caring and fun environment each day that she looks forward to attending, with her favourite day of the week being the jolly phonics sessions.
Transferring my daughter to Ashworth View has been the best decision I have made. My daughter has always been well behaved but I have seen a dramatic change in her understanding to feelings and listening to us as parents. Her vocabulary has sky rocketed and her imagination is really at its peak. I feel that Ashworth View goes above and beyond for the children and always has something going on for the kids which is really heart warming.
Our little boy started at Ashworth view in April, we were apprehensive to leave him anywhere but have felt reassured by the staff who send regular updates via the app with photos and comments so we can see what he is up to. We also get a slip at the end of each day with a breakdown of what he’s eaten, his favourite part of the day and when his nappy has been changed. The staff are more than happy to chat about how he is getting on and are eager to hear about what we have been doing at home and any development milestones which they can continue at nursery. What I like the most is that every time we pick him up he has clearly had a brilliant day, he’s happy, chatty, pointing at things and trying to show us what he has been playing with. We know he’s eaten well and been able to nap which makes us confident he is happy and comfortable in the setting. He has learnt so much in such a short period of time and we are really happy with the nursery.
